We feel protected, loved, and safe when we are with the closest members of our family. But, this story proves the contrary, that sometimes, even your mother, sister, brother or father are the ones that are willing to do us harm. It is really difficult to understand, imagine, or believe, but it is even more difficult to the person that has gone through something like this.
How can somebody be so inhumane, and can go to such length! It really gave me chills when I heard the story, and left me questioning how can somebody rape her sister?
Here’s the story of a 12-year-old who was the victim of careless crime.
She was born by a homeless mother and started drinking alcohol at an early age. So, she was sent in care. After her ninth birthday, she returned to Edinburgh. She continued consuming alcohol, and again, she was sent back to the care. In 2005, Tressa at the age of 11 returned to her home.
She never taught that this time, instead of welcoming, she would be raped by her brother, Jason.
Tressa ultimately gave her daughter for adoption.
‘Tressa: The 12-Year-Old Mum’ where she poured all that she had faced from a young age. She has dedicated the book to her daughter Annie. She feels sorry for giving up Annie in care. She says, ‘I just hope one day she does forgive me.’ She further says, ‘I know it’s going to be hard for her when she finds out her uncle is her dad.’
